OUR MISSION:
The Council on Chemical Abuse provides countywide leadership in the development and implementation of policies, programs and a system of prevention and intervention services that prevent the onset of illegal alcohol, tobacco and drug use and treatment services that promote recovery from addiction to all substances.

What is BUSTED?
PA BUSTED! exists in order to help teens live tobacco free lives by taking steps to stop the manipulation of Big Tobacco on today's youth. We are a statewide organization that is made up of students, adults, and teachers devoted to helping teens live healthy, tobacco free lives.

BUSTED! Activities

 

BUSTED!, along with other youth prevention groups from the southeastern PA region, attended the Freedom From Tobacco event. This rally was held July 2 on Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

 

Muhlenberg BUSTED! met with Attorney General Tom Corbitt on April 10 in Philadelphia. The Attorney General held a press conference at Health Promotions Council to convince Governor Rendell and the State Assembly to use all of the $25 million in new MSA allocations for prevention and cessation programs.

October 2007 Youth Quest Rally: Berks County BUSTED! attended the 2007 Youth Quest Rally at the Capitol, joining youth from across Pennsylvania. BUSTED! members met with State Senator Michael A. O'Pake.
 
2007 BUSTED! Facilitator of the Year: Jill Mahon, Council Tobacco Prevention Consultant, was awarded the 2007 BUSTED! Facilitator of the Year Award by the PA Department of Health. Congratulations Jill!
