OUR MISSION:
The Council on Chemical Abuse provides countywide leadership in the development and implementation of policies, programs and a system of prevention and intervention services that prevent the onset of illegal alcohol, tobacco and drug use and treatment services that promote recovery from addiction to all substances.

Library

Council Addiction Resource Library

The Council offers addiction information through the Community Addiction Resource Library. Our holdings are listed online through the Reading Public Library website. In order to borrow materials from the library, you must have a Reading Public Library system card. You may reserve any of our materials online. You must pick up reserved items at the Council within five days after the reservation is made. Search the Reading Public Library website for listings and availability of addictions literature and videotapes. You can also reserve an item via e-mail.
