Police officers across Pennsylvania have saved more than 1,600 lives since 2015 using the opioid overdose antidote naloxone. The Warm Handoff program was designed to minimize the risk of a repeated overdose by getting overdose survivors directly to treatment from the Emergency Room. Join us for this educational lunchtime program, including pizza and refreshments. You will hear how Certified Recovery Specialists work for the Warm Handoff program, providing intervention services and assisting individuals to enter treatment. Sign in and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. The presentation begins at noon and will end at 1:00 p.m.
The presentation will be made by Dan Milloy, Executive Director of TASC and John Janiszewski, Site Manager at the Tower Health ED Warm Handoff Program.
