Addiction Resource Library
The Council on Chemical Abuse, in collaboration with the Berks County Library System, hosts an Addiction Resource Library that is open to the public. The library is a clearinghouse of materials that address topics such as addictions, codependency, recovery, behavioral health, refusal skills and parenting. The library offers books, videoDVDs, and visual aids that are available for the public to borrow. To borrow materials from the library, you must have a Berks County Library System library card. You may reserve any of our materials online or via email. Reserved items must be picked up at the Addictions Resource Library within five days after the reservation is made. Search the Reading Public Library website for listings and availability of addictions literature and videotapes.
Please note that the Council also offers assistance with academic reports, research, classroom presentations, health fairs, and distribution of prevention materials to the community. If you need further information about the Addiction Resource Library, please contact the Council.
