Addiction Resource Library
The Council on Chemical Abuse, in collaboration with the Berks County Library System, hosts an Addiction Resource Library that is open to the public. The library is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is a clearinghouse of materials that address topics such as addictions, codependency, recovery, behavioral health, refusal skills and parenting. The library offers books, video DVDs, and visual aids that are available for the public to borrow.
In order to borrow materials from the library, you must have a Berks County Library System library card. You may reserve any of our materials online or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Reserved items must be picked up at the Addictions Resource Library within five days after the reservation is made. You can see our available listings, by using the Berks County Library System to search for titles of addiction and recovery related literature and videos. To see what our office library offers specifically, be sure to click “Council on Chemical Abuse” under “Owning Library” on the left side of the search page after you complete your search.
Please note that The Council also offers assistance with academic reports, research, classroom presentations, health fairs, and distribution of prevention materials to the community. If you need further information about the Addiction Resource Library, please contact us.
