Smoke Free Dining Guide The Third Edition contains 213 Berks County restaurants. You can also request a guide be mailed to you. If you are a restaurant interested in being listed in a future guide, fill out a Registration Form (Spanish version) and mail it in or fax to 610-376-8423. Top Five Adolescent Tobacco Videos Check out the top five tobacco videos for teens available. For these or other videos contact the Council Librarian. Coalition for a Tobacco Free Berks The Coalition meets at the Council. Contact the Tobacco Coordinator for details. The following informational items are available online: Clean Indoor Air Committee This group is a sub-committee of the Coalition for a Tobacco-free Berks. Vision: To become the central resource on smoke-free indoor air issues and initiatives in Berks County. Mission: To promote smoke-free workplaces and establishments and provide education and implementation strategies to businesses, organizations and communities in Berks County. The CIA committee is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle choices to ensure clean indoor air for all citizens of Berks County. To become a CIA team member, contact the Tobacco Coordinator.

Smoke Free Homes
Cessation Support Groups Better Breathers Club meets the 4th Monday of the month at 1pm at Atonement Lutheran Church, Penn Ave. and Wyomissing Blvd. Family and caregivers are welcome. Call Maryann at 610-988-9860. The NOT Program The NOT program is specifically designed for teenagers who want to stop smoking. The NOT program can come to your school and see the student during a “free” period during school hours. The program can be offered on a one-on-one basis, for groups up to ten participant, or as a one time only prevention assembly. For details, contact the Tobacco Cessation Consultant. Tobacco Enforcement The Council is responsible for conducting both merchant education and compliance checks of all tobacco retailers in Berks County. Enhanced enforcement is seen as the key factor in the drop in the rate of illegal sales to minors. For details, contact our Tobacco Enforcement Consultant.
