The Council on Chemical Abuse provides countywide leadership in the development and implementation of policies, programs and a system of prevention and intervention services that prevent the onset of illegal alcohol, tobacco and drug use and treatment services that promote recovery from addiction to all substances.

Cessation Support Groups
Better Breathers Club meets the 4th Monday of the month at 1pm at Atonement Lutheran Church, Penn Ave. and Wyomissing Blvd. Family and caregivers are welcome. Call Maryann at 610-988-9860.

The NOT Program
The NOT program is specifically designed for teenagers who want to stop smoking. The NOT program can come to your school and see the student during a “free” period during school hours. The program can be offered on a one-on-one basis, for groups up to ten participant, or as a one time only prevention assembly. For details, contact the Tobacco Cessation Consultant.
