APPLY: Youth Tobacco Enforcement Agent

The Council on Chemical Abuse is currently accepting applications from youth, between the ages of 15-17, to participate in tobacco enforcement throughout Berks County. The Youth Tobacco Enforcement Agent must participate in a required, paid training session about Act 112, the PA state law authorizing this activity. Youth will be traveling with the Tobacco Enforcement Coordinator to various stores throughout Berks County and engage in undercover buys to ensure that these stores are in compliance with Act 112 and not selling to Youth below the age of 18.

Youth are paid $10.00 per hour, as well as keeping small items to buy at each store visited. Youth are expected to provide Tobacco Enforcement Coordinator with days they will not be able to participate. Youth must be tobacco free and in good academic standing. Great opportunity for youth interested in a future career in criminal justice, social work, public health, or education.
