Do you have questions about online gaming or problem gambling? The Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA) invites you to a community event to learn more about problem gambling, and the resources available in the Berks County community.
This event will be held at two different locations. Both are free and open to the public.
- Kutztown University – 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Boehm Science Center, Lecture Hall 145
- Downtown Reading – 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
DoubleTree Hotel, 701 Penn St., Reading, PA
Art Reception: 6:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Featured Speaker: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Poster Contest Awards: 8 p.m.Art Reception & Refreshments to follow the contest awards. The art reception will include posters created by students with the theme “Gaming & Gambling: The Good, the Bad & The Ugly” will be displayed. Poster submissions were part of a poster contest with students who received education from COCA at their after school program. Award winners will be recognized. Activities will be provided for school-aged children by COCA Prevention Specialist.
About the presenter: Daniel Trolaro is the Assistant Executive Director for the Council of Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, where he works to increase awareness of problem gambling issues among various populations and provide support and assistance to families and addicted gamblers. He holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and has a passion for public speaking, education, and awareness on the dangers of addiction.
