As digital natives, teens are the most frequent users of technology and therefore, more vulnerable to its negative impacts. This presentation will provide insights into how social media, online gaming, video games, and gambling can have the same effect on the brain as drugs and alcohol.
Sarah Billman worked in the treatment field for nine years prior to joining COCA’s prevention team in January 2017. Sarah is a Certified Prevention Specialist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Addiction Studies from Alvernia University. She is currently enrolled as a graduate student at Purdue Global, seeking her Master’s Degree in Human Services.
