TRAINING: Addictions 101

This is an introductory course that addresses the theory of addiction, the effects of drugs and alcohol on the brain, and pharmacology. Excellent training for individuals interested in acquiring a basic understanding of the addictive disease process. This is a required training for drug and alcohol counselors.  Any professional who works with clients with substance abuse concerns – training is appropriate for staff from social service agencies including children and youth, adult and juvenile probation, domestic relations, job training and employment and public assistance.

Six CAC credits will be offered for the workshop. This is a required DDAP training.
