As a required course for drug and alcohol counselors, the PCPC 3rd edition training will cover the levels of care (LOC), types of service and placement criteria in utilizing the PCPC to ensure that a client is placed in the appropriate level of care. There will be application exercises to assist course participants in sharpening their placement skills.

This training is specifically designed for drug and alcohol counselors who have not been previously trained in PCPC 3rd edition. Individuals working with clients with substance use disorders would also benefit from this training in order to better understand the criteria for the selection of  levels of care.
