TRAINING: Treatment for Veterans with PTSD, Secondary Stress & Addiction Issues

In this course participants will learn how to diagnose PTSD in the veteran population and distinguish it from other conditions as well as the relationship between PTSD and addictive disorder. Participants will develop multicultural and ethical conscious awareness of issues facing veterans, recognize issues associated with PTSD, including social problems and AOD abuse, discuss community resources and identify needs and increase their understanding in practical application, e.g., work, social settings, church and business.
This training has been developed for staff from social service agencies and/or any professional who works with veterans.
6.0 CAC credits will be offered for the workshop. A $15 training fee is required.
